The Press Pot Games Ridiculously Infrequent Newsletter
I guess if I have posted two newsletters in a month’s time, then this isn’t infrequent. Maybe sporadic is a better word? Regardless, hello!
This is what you’re in store for.

1. A Word of Appreciation
I simply wanted to share my appreciation for those of you who reached out with kind words, thumbs ups, emails, and reposts about my last update, especially around my new philosophy of saying “screw it; I’m gonna do what I want!” If I didn’t thank you directly, I’m sorry, but know it all left an impact on me. So let’s venture forward!
My 2 player, cooperative, 55-card game of trying to take down the Man is available to preorder now.
2 players over 30 minutes
$19 (free US Shipping & +$11 International Shipping)
There are no plans for a PnP yet, and this will be the only way to get this game.
Preorders will close at the end of August, and I’ll ship mid-September or so.
You can preorder it here. You can find it on BGG along with an overview video.

3. West Texas Railways Backerkit Link Up
West Texas Railways is my 1-? player print & play, flip & fill game of route-building, stock buying, and trying to have more money than your opponents. I still need to make the rulebook look pretty and film a play through video.
Print and Play
$3 (free shipping worldwide to your digital inbox)
You need part of a deck of cards to play and the printout or digital version of the player sheet

As part of my new design philosophy of saying, “screw it,” I am also including a list of my favorite (and not-so-favorite) quotes from some of my past train games. Do I care that there are some negative ones? Absolutely! However, I am trying to find joy. Here are some of them:

4. Some 18 Card Games to Throw Your Way
I mentioned last time I am deeply into making small—form 18 card games that come in a small hookbox. I am so ready for this. Playtesting is about to ramp up.
On the agenda are:
“Jazz” (None of these are real titles yet): A 3-4 player cooperative numbers-on-cards game where players play as a jazz musician trying to play their role in the band by playing the right cards in relation to the other musicians.
The Struggle is Real: A solo hand management game of trying to get out of bed in the morning. I’ll just leave this one as-is.
Spirit: A 2 player cooperative game of a spirit trying to make a connection with a human. Limited communication between parties, hand management, asymmetric stuff, etc.
5. More Meeting Memos
My good friend and long time gaming buddy and collaborator across many things, Donny Behne, came to me 2 weeks ago with a ton of ideas about expanding Meeting Memos to other classes that could possibly constitute a party. We have lots of ideas already. This won’t be anything coming out soon, but rather down the road well into next year. It’ll be fun!
Thanks as always,Travis
